A Bichon earmuff style seminar & workshop, brought to Australia for the first time
August 9 & 10 2026 at Oz Grooming World
Clients are asking for the Asian fusion look more than ever - and the groomers who deliver it well know the secret is in the bath, long before the scissors come out. You can tell a really good groom, even from just a pic on SM - it's crisp from the inside out. IYKYK.
This August, igroomhub and Oz Grooming World are bringing Hsin to Sydney - powered by AFPet. An 18-year grooming veteran, AFPet bathing consultant, and educator with over 50 bathing and styling classes to her name. Two days, two formats, one very specific skill set.
August 9 - seminar day Theory, demonstration, and the full Asian Bichon earmuff workflow from bath to finish. Lunch included.
August 10 - exclusive workshop Six spots. Hsin in the room. You and your dog, working through the earmuff structure with direct guidance. Dogs must arrive bathed and fluff dried. BYO food.
Both days are open to all experience levels, though if you're coming to the workshop it helps to have the seminar context first.

Day 1 is suitable for keen beginners and above - if you're passionate about learning, you'll get plenty out of it. Day 2 is the hands-on workshop and will require some existing experience with scissoring.

Day 1 (August 9) is a demonstration seminar - suitable for a range of experience levels. Day 2 (August 10) is a hands-on small group workshop with only 6 spots available, and is best suited to groomers who are already confident with scissoring.

Yes - parking is available at Oz Grooming World. No issues expected for either day.

Lunch is provided on Day 1. You'll need to bring your own food for Day 2. (Although, Tony was whispering about possible dumplings on day 2!)

You'll be asked for your dietary requirements as part of the ticket purchase process.

Your full kit - clippers, trimmers, combs, brushes, scissors, and anything else you'd normally use to groom a dog. And your dog of course, freshly washed and fluff dried.

Yes, short clips of up to 10 seconds are welcome. Please be mindful of other attendees.

Yes, limited course notes are provided. You're also encouraged to take your own notes on the day.
