Scissor Exercises
Good scissoring isnβt just happening in your fingers. Your grip, wrist, shoulder, body position and even the way you shift your weight all play a part.
Nat and Nicky run through a handful of simple exercises to help develop a better scissor action, including learning to move the thumb independently, reducing bounce, keeping the wrist straight and practising a smoother movement with the whole body. These are easy exercises you can practise away from the grooming table while you build coordination and muscle memory.
Try these exercises for: correct scissor grip β’ thumb control β’ reducing bounce β’ wrist and shoulder position β’ smoother movement β’ body positioning and weight transfer
