MODEL DOGS

 Donut Muzzle

This session is a little different. Rather than a polished, step-by-step tutorial, this is an over-the-shoulder look at Sue Wright teaching Donut Muzzle shaping on model dogs, with Tay and Jess working through the process in real time.

You’ll hear Sue talk through structure, proportion, and decision-making as the shape develops, including what to leave, what to take, and why. There’s plenty of stopping, checking from different angles, and adjusting as the muzzle takes form, just like you would on a real grooming table.

This is one to watch slowly. It’s less about copying a finish and more about understanding how an Asian-style muzzle is built from the back forward, and how small choices early on affect the shape over time.

Part 1: Setting the Donut Muzzle foundation
Structure, length, and initial shape.

Part 2: Refining and balancing the shape
Blending, eye exposure, and finishing decisions.
