Miniature Poodle

FLYNN

Poodle Points demonstrated on Flynn, with Nicky and Tay.

Flynn is a beautifully maintained miniature Poodle who gives us the perfect opportunity to look closely at some of the finer details that make a tidy poodle trim really stand out. Across these three parts, we cover nails, poodle feet, face work, and tail setting, with plenty of discussion around blade choice, skin sensitivity, clipper handling, and creating clean, polished lines that last.

Poodle Feet and Nails

In this lesson, we start with Flynn’s nails before moving into setting and cleaning a classic poodle foot. The tutorial covers safe nail handling, working with different nail colours, blade selection for lighter skin tones, and the difference small detail clippers can make when working around toes and pads for a cleaner, longer-lasting finish.

Shaving the Poodle Face

Flynn’s face trim focuses heavily on blade choice, skin sensitivity, and clipper technique when working on lighter coloured poodles. Tay demonstrates bulk reduction, working with changing coat grain, setting clean lines through the face and neck, and safe handling around delicate areas like the eyes and lip line.

Poodle Rear and Tail

This section looks at setting a traditional poodle tail, including how to visualise and create the classic diamond shape. The tutorial breaks the pattern down into manageable steps while also covering clipper control, symmetry, and working carefully around sensitive areas.
