Oodle Head Studies

No two oodles are quite the same!

Oodle grooming is all about recognising what's in front of you. Coat type, breed mix, head shape and expression all influence the finished result, which is why a one-style-fits-all approach rarely produces the best outcome.

Oodles are among the most common dogs seen in Australian grooming businesses, and every one that walks out the door is an advertisment for your business. The Oodle Head Studies course explores the differences between Australia's most popular poodle crosses and shows how experienced groomers adapt their styling to suit each individual dog. Through multiple demonstrations, you'll see a wide variety of head styles, coat types and finishing techniques across puppies, adults and seniors.

In this course you'll learn about:

  • Understanding oodle origins and recognising key breed differences.

  • Identifying the features that influence head shape and styling choices.

  • Preparing different coat types for a better finish.

  • Styling Cavoodles, Spoodles, Labradoodles, Groodles and a range of less common oodle crosses.

  • Adapting your approach to suit the individual dog, rather than relying on a single formula.

Featuring dogs groomed by Sue Wright, Taylan Bradley, Michelle Weber, Prue Hammond and other experienced educators, this course brings together a broad range of techniques, perspectives and styling approaches to help you become a more adaptable groomer.
